Website Builds — WordPress, Webflow, and Custom

Most businesses end up on whatever website platform is familiar, or whatever an agency defaults to — not necessarily what fits their stage, budget, or technical needs. That mismatch shows up later: slow sites, rising monthly fees, or a CMS that can’t keep up once real content production starts.

I’ve built and shipped real sites across three different platforms, picking each one deliberately: WordPress where its plugin ecosystem and low cost made sense, Webflow where visual control mattered most, and a custom-built Astro site where speed, schema control, and long-term hosting cost outweighed a page-builder’s convenience.

The platform is a means to an end, not the starting point.
